Wedding Wednesdays

Wedding. Don't you just love that word? Does it make you get butterflies in your stomach? Does it make you smile? I hope so! If you're not getting married, but you're already married, I hope the word "wedding" brings you back to the magical day you became a wife (or husband!). If you're not married and aren't getting married (yet) I hope the word "wedding" makes you day dream of what your day will be like. And, if you are planning (like me) I hope it's hard for you to think about your wedding, when all you can think about is your GROOM!!!

Speaking of my groom... let me just tell you a little story of how we came to be engaged!

Last July we planned a trip to Yellowstone with a few friends.

Yep, I went on a camping trip with 3 boys. Stinky boys. Silly boys. But mostly sweet boys.

We made our meals morning, noon, and night at our campsite (well for lunches we packed so we could eat while out and about). One night my sweet and I (I have been corrected) made reservations for the "nice" restaurant at Yellowstone, Old Faithful Inn. We ate our dinner-which at the time seemed so great since we had been eating food cooked over a fire and camping stove for days- and then decided to go on a hike. Just the two of us. I was in heaven. So, off we went.

We met this little friend on the way. 

And here we are at the top of the trail.

So, the hike. Ahhh that hike. It was long, hard, and uphill. We were not expecting it to be so mountainous and tiring! But, it was so worth it. The above picture is the view we saw from the top. It was unreal and amazing.

Continuing on... The whole point of this trail was to get to Mystic Falls. As we were trekking through the trail, I was trying to take my mind off of how tired I was getting, so I asked my sweet to tell me a story. He said, " A story? Are you silly?" And I responded with, "No. Just tired. Just tell me a story to take my mind off of being tired." That's when we turned the corner and saw this:

Beauty. Nature at it's finest. I turned to look at this, and as I was turned around my sweet said, "How about I tell you the story of us?" I turned around and he was down on 1 knee with the most beautiful ring I have ever laid my darn eyes on. It was perfect. It was at the perfect place. And I was going to be married to my perfect man!

My ring! He even had it sized to my ring size so I could wear it instantly! Love it sooo much.

How fun will it be to go back someday and show our Baby where Mommy and Daddy got engaged?! Oh man, babies, now that's a whole other subject. Don't get me started!!!
