First Friday Words of Wisdom Post from Mom

Advice from Mom:

My wonderful Family... Children and Husband

Hello Blog World. This is Danielle’s Mom… And this is my first “Words of Wisdom on Friday” post. Well, actually this is my first of any kind of post. Bear with me here. Today, I’ll be posting about parenting; specifically, decision making and parenting.

I am so proud of the decisions you have made, Princess.
Sometimes as a parent when your children are growing up, you want to make decisions for them- from what color shoes to wear to deciding what their Friday night plans are going to be. My advice? Let them make as many as they can. Sure, some turn out not the way they expected (those shoes looked awful) but they will learn from them. They will grow from them. And they will become adults from them.

Give your child/teen/young adult/adult an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, and a hug like only a mom can give. And don’t stop doing them when you think your “baby” is old enough. They are never too old for a Mom.

For all the decisions that maybe were not the best, you made up for it by making the decision to marry Your Sweet. He is so much like me (wink wink)! Seriously though, he is such a wonderful man; he will provide for you, his love for you is unending, and is truly your soul mate. I look forward to watching you make decisions as not only my daughter, but as a WIFE!

Love,

Mom

  2. I can vouch for the receiving end of this parenting that it was wonderful. We learned with each new bump and scrape how to avoid it in the future. So wise mumsie!
