Rehearsal/Groom's Dinner

Love you guys!
I decided to save the actual wedding until last. So... here's a little glimpse into our rehearsal/groom's dinner.

My Sweet's favorite food is Chicago Dogs. He loves them. He also loves ice cream. So... I thought it only fitting that for the Groom's Dinner we served his favorite foods. I ordered Chicago Dogs from a hot dog stand he likes in St. Paul, MN (Chris and Rob's) and got some french fries from the local Pub and Eatery. I decorated the serving table with various black and white papers and bags I had picked up at the dollar store and Archivers.

After dinner was served we had our rehearsal. While the rehearsal was taking place one of my wonderful personal attendants, B set up the ice cream cookie sundae buffet. My mother in law was in charge of the ingredients (except the cookies-our friend Adam made the most delicious chocolate chip cookies) and utensils for this and she did a wonderful job! I got white paper cups from the dollar store and then put some Martha Stewart chalkboard labels on each glass and wrote each person's name on the glass. For the ingredients, we used popsicle sticks with the chalkboard labels attached naming the ingredient. It was a hit!

Doesn't that tin tray with the little ingredient cups just pull it all together?

  1. The rehearsal dinner was so cute (fitting for the bride), but not too much work and delicious simple sort of food (fitting for the groom). Such a smart idea for the "groom's" dinner. Also, Z & I thought it was SO smart that you did dinner before the rehearsal so we weren't starving= more focused. Then we had the yummy ice cream bar to look forward to= more focused. LOVE YOU
